International zoom courses are always Israel time zone. The courses will begin October 10, 2021 and run until June 17, 2022.

Costs

A regular course costs 1,200 NIS. A course of a semester costs 650 NIS. Payment is possible in cash or through bank transfer. Students registering for more than one course receive a discount of 100 NIS for each course. A discount of 100 NIS for everyone who will encourage a new student. You can come and try two classes w/o paying.


Special Courses in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv

Shmuel Likrat Shabbat: in Jerusalem (Bayt Hakerem) every Friday. First meeting: Friday, October 15, 9:30 to 11:00 Israel time.

Face to Face: in Jerusalem (bayt hakerem), every two weeks 3.5 hours each session. This course will be a regular seminar – 1.5 hours literature and 1.5 hours shmues, with a relaxing 30-minute break between sections. The course is suited for students with good Yiddish knowledge and costs 1300 Shekels for the year.

First meeting: Wednesday, October 20 at 9:30-13:00 Israel time. This course will be limited to 15 participants.

 

Face to Face: in Tel Aviv (Sday Hatzionut), every two weeks 3.5 hours each session. This course will be a regular seminar – 1.5 hours literature and 1.5 hours shmues, with a relaxing 30-minute break between sections. The course is suited for students with good Yiddish knowledge and costs 1300 Shekels for the year.

First meeting: Thursday, October 14 at 16:00 to 19:30 Israel time. This course will be limited to 15 participants.

 

A writing course with Eliezer Niborski: 10 sessions via Zoom. Every two weeks, 2 hours each session. The course is designed for Yiddish speakers that want to improve their writing ability in Yiddish – not for casual purposes, but for professional reasons (writers of academic works or literature/essayists/journalistic pieces). The course costs 700 shekels. Dates and times to follow soon.

 

Monthly literary seminars on Zoom: 4 hours (includes a break). Every session of this course will be dedicated to a theme or an author. Each session costs 200 Shekels.

First seminar: dedicated to Soviet Yiddish Authors on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 from 17:30-21:30 Israel time. Please register by the 25th of August.
